Hey guys, it's ---- here! Desastre verde's production head, returning to you to talk about about disaster awareness! For this entry, we are going to talk about what to do after a volcanic eruption. First and foremost, wait for the signal that it is safe to return to to your respective homes; a signal signifies that the local government has gone through the area and has officially deemed it safe. When going outside, make sure to wear the aforementioned safety gear:

- gloves;

- goggles;

- long-sleeved shirt; and,

- pants

to protect yourself from the remaining ash and debris that is still in the air. Inspect your house for any damages. Check if there are any faults that has been caused by the volcanic debris. If you smell gas, immediately call authorities as this is an indication of lahar being present. Once this is done, check all electrical wires, appliances, and gas tanks as they may have been damaged in the eruption and could prove to be dangerous. Make sure to boil water before drinking it, as volcanic particles may have contaminated the water supply. Even after the disaster itself, accidents may still occur.

Remain vigilant towards any damages and potential danger which may have been caused by the volcanic eruption. Don't forget to always stay updated with the status of the area and try to stay safe. x
