Hey, hey, hey! Welcome back my lovelies, it’s ----, desastre verde's research director back for another issue about how to survive volcanic eruptions!

On this post, we are gonna talk about the 3 signs on how to detect when a volcano will erupt. The first sign is when there has been an occurrence of small earthquakes in the area which is caused by the movement of magma under the volcano. Also, because of the movement of the magma, this causes deformation in the ground, creating cracks or ground fissures. Adding to this, landslides and rockfalls occur despite not being caused by rain.

The second sign is the increase of temperature, the amount of volcanic gases. Which could be an indication of the magma being close to the surface. This affects the area since close-by bodies of water start to dry up and change color and increase in steam emissions.

The third sign is the change of color in nearby vegetation and lakes. This is due to the dissolution of minerals and acidic chemicals from the volcano that somehow get to the vegetation and lakes.

After all of these being said, I hope this teaches you to become more vigilant about volcanic eruptions. Be prepared for the worst and always be aware. x
